If the ZZK Crew is making waves around the world, Douster is a tsunami!
His mega hit, King of Africa, is being played by the biggest DJs around the globe (Crookers, Aoki, A-Trak, Tiesto and more)
Since his debut on the Zizek Tour North American tour in 2009 with Fauna & El G, it was certainly obvious a bright future was on tap this young Frenchman who for 2 years called Argentina home and whose sound evolved accordingly with his time and place in an ridiculous way.
Less than 1 year later, his ZZK debut album Triassic has been released and he hasn’t stopped remixing and playing around Europe. And now he’s coming back to North America for 2 super cool shows. The first one, as the sign says, is the future! Douster & Rusko on the same bill on the same stage (this Friday!) one after the other on the iciest dancefloor that side of the equator…. Large ups to the people at Igloo Fest for seeing this and making it happen.
Speaking of Rusko, the second Douster show is in Los Angeles (Sunday the 31st at Three of Clubs), with the label that is putting out the next Rusko EP, Mad Decent, with a Douster remix to boot. Check his myspace for the track.
The number of Douster tracks circulating right now is incredible! Check (and buy!) his releases from ZZK, Bebup, Sound Pelligrino and his remixes are surefire hits on the dancefloor. Ask Tommie Sunshine, the legendary DJ from Chicago who got a party shut down last week during a rather exciting Douster remix. Douster remixes causing chaos and unbridled euphoria? This same remix in the video below, enough said.
In Febuary Douster will embark on his next international adventure, this time, destination Australia.
A long way from the back roads of Oaxaca, the place we last left Douster, but closer than ever to that magical Oaxacan energy, go pibe, conquer the world!
