Part of Lisbon’s white-hot batida scene, DJ Firmeza is well versed in the art of reshaping frantic African rhythms for European dancefloors, and after meeting Ghetto Kumbé during an artist residency in Mexico City, he agreed to give ‘Cara a Cara’ the same treatment. His remix turbo-charges the psychedelic original, adding in a raft of energetically thwacking drums and an uniquely off-kilter rhythm that’s sure to get any dancefloor moving.
